High AltiTooters Flute Ensemble
Fun and informal recreational flute ensemble for high school through adult players from Teller and western El Paso counties. We rehearse Thursday evenings 6:15-7:45 at Mountain View Methodist Church in Woodland Park. No dues, and we are 501c3 under the Woodland Park Wind Symphony. We perform many community events throughout the year.
The Western Colorado Flute Choir
Rehearses in Grand Junction at 7PM on Mondays at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on G Road between 25 and 26 Roads in Grand Junction. The age range is 25 to 81, and there are an average of nine members. They present an average of three concerts a year, including recitals in a recital hall for a sitting audience, and occasionally for churches and nursing homes. There is no fee to join the group and no audition required.
Mile High Flute Benders
Mile High Flute Benders – Colorado’s Flute Choir!
A Flute Choir for all ages and abilities. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7pm – 8pm.
Location: Private Residence in Park Hill Neighborhood
Tuition is $250 a semester. Please bring a check made out to Earwarp, LLC.

Longs Peak Flute Ensemble
The age range of those presently in the choir is 16-60+. They perform at church services, combined flute choir and handbell concerts, community events and conferences. They average five performances a year. There is no fee to belong to the group that averages 15 people. Rehearsals are usually held on Sundays from 3:30-5. Auditions are open to everyone. If you are interested, prepare two pieces of contrasting style (technical and expressive) that best display your level of playing. Be prepared to play a duet, either sight reading or of your choice, to demonstrate tuning and ensemble playing. It is recommended that you sit in on a rehearsal to see if you are comfortable with the level of music being performed. The Longs Peak Flute Ensemble rehearses and performs at Longs Peak United Methodist Church in Longmont, CO.
Sherwood Park Flute Ensemble
The Greeley-based choir is made up of adults, but advanced high school students are also welcome. They perform both concerts and background music for civic events, weddings, church services and banquets. They average three performances a year. Contact Marcia for information on participating. Pikes Peak Flute Choir
The Pikes Peak Flute Choirs is an organization comprised of two main flute choirs that rehearse weekly in Colorado Springs. The main group is open to all flute players (musical examples showing minimum ability requirements is available upon request) and has an average size of 25 members with all ages represented. The Select Choir includes members from the main ensemble that have passed an audition that shows an ability to play more technically difficult music. Both ensembles play a range of music, from flute choir arrangements of classical pieces and popular songs to new music by the standard bearers of flute choir composition. Other chamber ensembles, including one with a focus on the performance of new and experimental music, are also available. The ensembles play two principal concerts in November and early May, with additional holiday outreach concerts and an occasional summer concert. Tuition for participation is $50 per semester, and more information about contacts and rehearsals may be found on our website www.thepikespeakflutechoir.com.
During this period of the COVID19 pandemic, the Pikes Peak Flute Choirs are hosting a series of remote recorded pieces. Check our website for links to the recordings, which we will continue to update. Rocky Mountain Flute Choir
The RMFC performs at church services, weddings, and other community events in the Denver Metro area. They have 2 formal performances a year and 1 recital with an average of 8 performances a year. There is a charge of $50 per semester to play. The age range of the groups members is 25 to 65 and there is an average of 22 members. We rehearse in Cherry Hills Village at First Plymouth Congregational Church. To audition, prepare an etude or short excerpt of your choice. Make sure the piece contains a variety of tempos and styles.
