Youth Flute Day

The Colorado Flute Association is excited to announce our upcoming Youth Flute Day, to take place on May 6, 2023, at Colorado Academy in Denver.

This year, in lieu of a traditional solo competition, we will be organizing three flute choirs for students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Students who wish to participate will audition for placement within their ensemble by submitting a 2-5 minute video recording (repertoire of their choice) by March 31. Recordings do not need to be professional quality. Cell phone recordings are acceptable. Students with pre-formed chamber groups may also submit an additional piece for performance.

The schedule for the day will be:

Rehearsals: 10am-12:15pm

Lunch: 12:15pm – 1:00pm

Dress Rehearsal: 1:00pm – 1:20pm

Concert: 1:30pm-2:30pm

Mini reception: 2:30pm-3:00pm
