Youth Flute Day Fall 2026

The Colorado Flute Association is pleased to announce our upcoming Youth Flute Day on Saturday Nov 14, 2026 at Metro State University, 800 Kalamath St 🎶

This Youth Flute day will organize two flute choirs for students in grades 6-8, and 9-12, who will be coached and conducted by highly qualified professional flutists.

Students who wish to participate will audition for placement within their ensemble by submitting a 2-5 minute video recording (repertoire of their choice. Play what you love, no scales required!) by Saturday Oct 17. Submit your recording using the form below.

Recordings do not need to be professional quality. Cell phone recordings are acceptable. All students will be accepted. Students with pre-formed chamber groups may also submit an additional piece for performance.

Schedule for the Day:

Check-in at the King Center: 9:30am-9:45am

Rehearsals: 9:45am-12:15pm

Brown Bag Lunch: 12:15pm – 12:45pm

Pre-Concert preparation: 12:50-1:10pm

Concert: 1:15pm-2:15pm – Family and Friends are encouraged to attend this non-ticketed event.

Cost: CFA student membership ($25) + Youth Flute Day registration ($15)
