The Colorado Flute Association is excited to announce elections for the 2023-2025 Board of Directors. The elected officers of the Colorado Flute Association consist of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer. In addition, the CFA will appoint an unlimited number of Members-at-Large. These elected officers and the appointed members serve as the Board of Directors.

The term will last September 1, 2023 – August 31, 2025. All active members of the CFA are encouraged to apply.

Open Positions

President: The President shall preside at all general meetings and at all board meetings; shall appoint chairpersons as needed; shall have signature on the checking account; serve as the point person for all CFA related event organization.

*Only those that have served as a member of the Board of Directors are eligible for to apply for President*

Vice President: The Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or at the request of the President and shall chair any events as assigned by the President. The Vice-President coordinates the general membership of the CFA and oversees the Young Artist Competition.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall have custody of all the funds for the association and shall deposit all such funds in the name of the Colorado Flute Association in a financial institution approved by the Board of Directors; shall maintain adequate bookkeeping records of all money collected and disbursed, and shall provide a financial statement whenever requested by the President.

Secretary: The Secretary shall record minutes, take roll at all meetings, keep up-to-date bylaws, and coordinate the correspondence of the association including all member e-blasts.

Members at Large: Members at Large shall be appointed to serve on the Board of Directors by the elected officers and shall serve as chairs of committees as requested by the President. The CFA is seeking those for the following responsibilities:

  • Webmaster and social media manager

  • K-12 Programming Coordinator

  • Corporate Sponsorships

The Board of Directors meets virtually as needed via Zoom. Board members are required to attend all meetings and the annual Colorado Flute Fair. Time commitment is 1-3 hours per month. Hours may increase closer to CFA events. Officers commit to upholding the mission and activities of the CFA and shall not use CFA information (including, but not limited to, member lists, member contact information, member personal information) for personal gain.
